Priority Sectors: Olive and Olive Oil Processing
As of the end of the year 2014, Osmaniye ranks the 6th in Turkey for olive production. When considered in terms of olive cultivated land and number of olive trees, Osmaniye is the 13th largest province of Turkey according to 2015 data.
Olive production is among priority sectors with its potential in Osmaniye and possible opportunities for new entrepreneurs. The transformation of olive and olive oil products (including alternative products including cosmetics) into products that will add higher value to the economy or the addition of such new products to the value chain will contribute significantly to the economy of Osmaniye.
